Can I sign my child up for more than one day or week of camp?

Yes you are now able to book single days, a combination of days or a full week!

Who are the Mad Science camp instructors?

Mad Science instructors tend to be university students pursing an education or science degree, former/retired teachers, or teachers or TA's on summer break. All of our instructors have experience working with groups of primary-aged children and have undergone a full DBS check and training

What is the child to instructor ratio?

The child to instructor ratio varies depending on sign up. We always have at least one instructor for every 15 children.

Do you provide lunch?

We ask that each child brings a packed lunch and a drinks bottle to camp each day. Make sure all items are clearly labelled. Please avoid sugary drinks and sweets.

Will they be outside?

We try and allow children to explore Science outside, and during the day there will be opportunity to play outdoors when weather allows. Please ensure suitable clothing for the days weather and that sunscreen if required is applied before attendance.

I'm feeling anxious... what if my kid doesn't like it?

It's natural to feel anxious, but we're confident that our highly trained Mad Scientists will make even the most nervous or reluctant campers feel right at home with us! If you need us to let you know how well they're doing, simply let us know at registration and we can give you a call later in the day!

Do you accept Childcare vouchers or Tax free childcare?

We are able to accept childcare vouchers and tax free childcare for all of our England based camp venues! Please note that we unfortunately cannot accept childcare vouchers for our After School Programmes.

What age is camp for?

We cater for 5-11 year olds. If you have an 11-13 year old who has aged out of Mad Science but would still like to attend then please get in touch with one of our team about our new junior LAB TECH programme.
